CVS Extra Care Card. You can sign up at CVS.com, or in any CVS store. You will need to present your card each time you shop at CVS in order to receive the sale price and, more importantly, Extra Care Bucks (ECB)! This is also the card you can scan at the ‘Coupon Center’ in the store to receive additional CVS store coupons. (I recommend scanning your card before shopping, because you never know what coupons will pop out!)

Extra Care Bucks will “roll”. Usually the limit for ECB is one offer per card, but sometimes we get lucky and the limit is 2 or more! So, when the limit is more than one, you can use the ECB from the first purchase toward your next purchase, and you’ll still receive the ECB. I will try and simplify…recently CVS offered contact solution free after ECB with a limit of 2 per card. The price was $2.99, so if you purchased one and received the $2.99 ECB, you could then use that $2.99 to purchase a second bottle of contact solution, paying nothing out of pocket, and still receive the second $2.99 ECB. You could also purchase them in one transaction, and receive a total of $5.98 in ECB. Be sure to pay attention to the limits, as they vary with each item. The limit is always posted in the ad as well as in the store.

You may receive a rain check if an ECB item is out of stock. Chances are if you think something is a good deal, so does everybody else! If the store is out of an item, you can receive a rain check, and even receive the ECB! You will receive a rain check for the current sale price of the item and they also fill out the ECB you should have received. Then, when the store has the item in stock, you’ll receive the ECB at the time you purchase it. They make it very easy!
