Rite Aid has the best rebate program of all the drug stores – Single Check Rebates, or SCR. Each month Rite Aid publishes a new booklet of rebates, and all you have to do is submit your receipt information with the qualifying purchase online to receive a rebate check every month. The booklets are available in the store, or you can view them online by visiting the Rite Aid Single Check Rebates website.

You can cash/deposit your check at the bank, or use it to pay for purchases in any Rite Aid store. It’s great because you get actual CASH back (in the form of a check), rather than coupons to be used in the store, and you don’t have to worry about anything expiring.

Most rebates are valid for the entire month, but there will be some that are only valid for one specific week, and this will be indicated in the rebate booklet (and online). There are also rebates that span a few rebate periods (several months), and this will be indicated in the rebate booklet as well.

The best way to turn a ‘free after rebate’ item into a money-maker is to use a coupon when purchasing the item! For example, if Renu Contact Solution is on sale for $7.99, with a $7.99 rebate, and you use a $2 coupon when you purchase it, you will pay $5.99 out of pocket, and then receive the $7.99 rebate = $2 money maker!

Some items may qualify for more than one rebate. A few months ago there was a great deal on Centrum Cardio vitamins. They were on sale for $8.99 with a $2 SCR. Then, there was another $25 rebate if you purchased $50 worth of heart-health items. So, my purchase of 1 Centrum Cardio qualified me for the $2 SCR as well as $8.99 toward the heart-health rebate. (There were also manufacturer and Rite-Aid Wellness coupons available, so I ended up making a $9 profit on 6 bottles of Centrum Cardio, but that’s another story).

If you purchase a qualifying item online from the Rite Aid Online Store, you still qualify for the Rite Aid Single Check Rebate! Now, you cannot use coupons when purchasing online, but if you can’t make it to the store, or don’t live near a Rite Aid, this is a great way to take advantage of the numerous “free after SCR” items that they offer each month! Just follow the same instructions for entering your receipt, except choose ‘Online’ when asked ‘Where did you shop?’
Enter the information from your Rite Aid Online Store confirmation receipt, and then hit the “Enter Receipt” button at the bottom.
Your qualifying purchases will be applied to your account and you’ll receive your check when you request it at the end of the rebate period!

If the store is out of a Single Check Rebate item (which happens, especially when items are free or money-makers), you may request a rain check for the sale price and still receive the rebate, but it’s not an easy process. The rain check is valid for 30 days, and when you make your purchase of the rain check item, the receipt must state “Rain Check” under the participating item. If you purchase the item after the qualifying period, you will need to submit your receipt to Special Services via fax or mail, and rebate will be manually applied to your account.

You can only request your rebate check ONCE per rebate period, so make sure that you have entered ALL of your receipts before you request your check. Entering receipts is easy, just visit the Rite Aid Single Check Rebates website after you make your purchase (I suggest doing it as soon as you get home so you don’t forget!) and enter a few things from the receipt (store #, transaction #, register # and date) and they will automatically recognize all of your qualifying items. It takes a couple of days for the receipt to process, so be sure and check back to make sure all of your rebate items were applied. At the end of each rebate period, you will have the opportunity to request your check. The checks usually arrive in 2-3 weeks. Don’t worry, if you forget to request your check, Rite-Aid will do it for you after a certain period of time.
